Bicester Athletic Club are at it again! We need your vote…..Please! Click here for details.

Who are we?

The Club started in 1982 primarily as a road running club and gradually progressed to encompass cross country and track and field and therefore the membership widened to include junior, senior, male and female athletes. Bicester Athletic Club is a small but friendly club. Enjoyment of the sport is very important to us but we are also competitive, with a small group of qualified coaches in the different disciplines of athletics. So if you want to participate just for fun, to keep fit, or to be competitive then come and join us. You don’t have to be an Olympic-standard athlete! You can participate in the summer to keep fit for your winter sport! Or just for the enjoyment of doing something different. As a community club our aim is to involve the whole family, to enable enjoyment and fitness through all disciplines of athletics.

If you have an interest in running, jumping, throwing or cross country; have always wanted to have a go but have never quite taken the plunge, then why not come and join us? Bicester Athletic Club is predominantly a junior club but can cater for all ages from 8 – 70, incorporating all abilities and both sexes. You can be competitive or just join to keep fit or for relaxation. We have a full programme of training throughout the year to suit all abilities. Non-athletes who would like to get involved in administration, coaching or officiating are also very welcome.

Where are we?

Our main training venue is at Bicester and Ploughley Sports Centre, Queens Avenue, Bicester. We use the Bicester Community College field (opposite the Sports Centre) in the summer for track and field training. The notice board is found outside the main hall in the Sports Centre and you can find details of races posted on the board. Please see the Training section for further details.
