Bicester combined with Witney to finish 6th team in their latest UK Development League match at Banbury. Although competition was tough there were some good Bicester performances. Foremost amongst these was Keiran Finch’s excellent win in the under 20 male high jump with a new personal best clearance of 1.70m. Finch was also 4th in the A Long Jump (4.97m).

Amy Gould enjoyed a very good day in the under 17 girls events. Gould set a new club record for victory in the under 17 girls 1500 metre steeplechase (6mins 20.7secs) in her first ever try at the event. Gould also threw a best ever 18.30m for 6th place in the hammer throw.

Molly Acton was only just touched off in the 800 metres but was still a fine 2nd in the A event (2mins 32secs). She supported that performance with a good time of 45.4secs) for 4th in the A 300 metres (45.4secs) and also threw 12.08m for 5th in the discus.

Lauren Garside competed in three 17 girl events earning 4th place in the A Long Jump (4.12m). 4th in the Shot (8.03m) and 5th in the A 100 metres (14.9 secs). And there was debut run in the under 20 mens 2000 metres steeplechase for Tom Gould who was 2nd in the B event (8mins 47.1secs).
