Founded in 1982 we are predominantly a junior Track & Field and Cross Country club but can cater for all ages, incorporating all abilities and both sexes.  You can be competitive or just join to keep fit or for relaxation. If you have always wanted to have a go but have never quite taken the plunge, then why not come and join us? Non-athletes who would like to get involved in administration, coaching or officiating are also very welcome.

Chiltern XC League – Campbell Park, MK (15th Jan)

When Bicester AC started competing in the very competitive Chiltern League Cross Country League, they were pleased to have runners finishing in the top half of finishers in their respective age group races.  Competing in the penultimate round of this season’s Chiltern League at Campbell Park on Saturday, Bicester AC had runners placed in the top 20 in four races and narrowly missed having top 20 finishers in two others.   Finley Colverson-Martin was Bicester’s top finisher on the day...

SEAA Indoor Combined Events Champs – Lee Valley (18th Dec)

There was a rare Bicester AC performance in an indoor competitive athletics event as Kyle Rayson competed in the Southern Indoor Combined Events Championship held recently at Lee Valley.  Rayson produced his finest combined events performance finishing runner up in the under 15 boy’s event amassing a total of 2,309 points, almost 900 points better than his previous combined event outing in the Summer.  This was also Rayson’s first ever competitive indoor athletic event outside of...

SEAA Inter County Cross Country Champs – Croydon (11th Dec)

A total of five Bicester AC athletes were selected for the Oxfordshire team who competed in the recent South of England Inter County Cross Country Championships held in Croydon.   Bicester’s highest placer was Finley Colverson- Martin making his debut in an Oxfordshire vest.  Contesting the under 17 men’s race, run over 5,000 metres, Colverson- Martin was Oxfordshire’s second finisher placing 32nd out of the 109 finishers and clocking 17mins 44secs.  This was a strong...

Oxfordshire Cross Country League – Cirencester (5th Dec)

The second round of the Oxfordshire Cross Country League event took place last Sunday at the gruelling Cirencester Park Course. Despite going out of County, 31 Bicester AC athletes made the trip with a number producing season best cross country performances. Chiltern Cross Country League – Luton (4th Dec)

With the Oxfordshire League being held the following day, Bicester AC fielded a somewhat depleted team for last Saturday’s Chiltern Cross Country League. Round 3 took place in Stopsley, Luton which has hosted the English Cross-Country Championships. Bicester have fielded a strong under 15 boy’s team throughout this year’s competition. Eynsham 10km (28th Nov)

Bicester AC’s Finley Colverson-Martin continued his superb road running form at last Sunday’s Eynsham 10km, which doubled up as the Oxfordshire County Championship.  Colverson-Martin finished 8th in a monster field of over 500 finishers and was first under 17 male finisher.  He was also 4th in the Oxfordshire race, run in conjunction with the main race.  Colverson-Martin’s time of 33mins 5secs was 33secs inside his previous best, set earlier in the year at Thame.  Colverson-Martin’s time...

Chiltern Cross Country League – Tear Drop Lakes, MK (13 Nov)

Bicester AC enjoyed a superb turnout for round 2 of the Chiltern Cross Country League held at Teardrop Lakes, Milton Keynes.  This round incorporated a round of the cross challenge which is a series long competition for elite runners held at various courses around the country.  Therefore, competition was more intense than normal.  Ex Bicester AC athlete and one of England’s top middle-distance runners, Ben West, was 10th out of the 549 finishers in the senior men’s race run over...
