The final round of the Oxfordshire Track and Field League took place recently at Tilsley Park Abingdon.  There was some hot competition from other clubs and individual wins were had to come by with just one apiece for Bicester A and B strings. The final round of the Motavation Road Race Series took place recently at Stratfield Brake.  382 runners toed the starting line on what is a predominantly grass terrain course over an approximate 3.9miles course.  The race included 7 Bicester AC athletes amongst the starting line up. The final round of the Heart of England Athletics League Division 3 took place recently at Amber Valley.  This was a match rescheduled from earlier in the season.  The short notice of the change of fixture and the holiday season inevitably took its toll on turnout.  But Bicester AC had a good spread of athletes throughout the events and finished 3rd on the day.  Bicester’s female team were overall 2nd with 2nd team places for the under 16 girls and under 18 women....

Bicester AC enjoyed a very successful day’s competition at the recently held 2nd round of the Oxfordshire League held at Banbury.  Bicester’s under 16 boy’s team won their competition, the Bicester mens/boys team was 2nd overall, several new personal bests were set and two EA PB level 5 performances were achieved in the throwing events. Two Bicester AC athletes represented Oxfordshire in the recently held Don Turner under 14 inter county track event in Walton.  Comprising Southern counties, both Bicester athletes performed well against some very hot competition. Oliver Jarvey and Charlie Simpson competed in the under 14 boy’s long jump.  Jarvey finished 12th with a 4.63m leap which is an under 14 boy’s EA PB level 6 mark.  Simpson was 11th in the B event with an under 13 boy’s level 6 mark of 4.41m. ...

Bicester AC contested their final lower age group Midland North and East C UK Development League fixture held recently in Nuneaton.  They finished 4th on the day and a very creditable 3rd in the final league standings out of the five competing teams. Bicester AC’s Django La Porte was on fire at the recently held Oxford City midweek open event held at Horspath.  La Porte set the fastest time of the evening winning his heat of the 100m in a superb new best time of 10.71secs which was an EA PB level 9 time.  This puts La Porte 19th in the current under 20 men’s national rankings for 100m.  Finley Colverson-Martin also competed for Bicester and he finished 4th in his heat of the 800m clocking 2mins 21.67secs which was only just short of his...
