Founded in 1982 we are predominantly a junior Track & Field and Cross Country club but can cater for all ages, incorporating all abilities and both sexes.  You can be competitive or just join to keep fit or for relaxation. If you have always wanted to have a go but have never quite taken the plunge, then why not come and join us? Non-athletes who would like to get involved in administration, coaching or officiating are also very welcome.

ESSA Midland Combined Events Championships – Banbury (25th June)

Two Bicester AC athletes were selected to compete for Oxfordshire Schools in last weekend’s ESSA Midland Combined Events Championship held at Banbury.  Kyle Rayson produced his best score in an outdoor combined events competition as he amassed  an impressive 2058 points for overall 4th  place out of 20 competitors in the under 15 boy’s event.  Rayson produced three new personal bests and two national grade performances in the 5 events he competed in. Heart of England League – Stourport (19th June)

Bicester AC athletes excelled themselves in the recently held Heart of England Division match hosted by Kidderminster and Stourport Athletic Club.  In a closely contested competition Bicester finished 4th out of the 7 competing clubs only three points away from 3rd place.  This was a superb competitive performance from the 20 athletes who made the journey.  Performances included a minimum of 33 personal bests as well as 13 national grade marks.  Bicester achieved no less...

Schools Round Up (June)

Bicester AC athletes were busy representing their schools in the various school county championship events that took place over the weekend.  Alyssa Johnson was making her track and field competitive debut in last Saturday’s Bucks Schools County Championships held at Milton Keynes.  Johnson won her heat of the 100m in impressive style and her time of 14.2secs was 5th fastest out of the 26 competing year 7 girls as well as being a national grade 4 mark.  Johnson was also in...

Oxon & Bucks Midweek Open – Horspath (8th June)

Just two Bicester AC athletes made the journey for last Wednesday’s Oxon and Bucks Open Track and Field meeting.  Although both athletes normally compete as under 13 girls, open graded meetings provide heats which can include athletes of all ages.  Isla Wooding, running in her first ever 100m, clocked a swift 14.89secs to finish 4th in her heat of the 100m.  Wooding also took over 2secs off her 200m best in finishing 2nd in her heat in 31.73secs, the joint 3rd  fastest under 13 girl’s time....

Motavation Series – Bletchingdon (26th May)

Three Bicester AC athletes contested the latest round of the Motavation road race series with the latest round contested at Bletchingdon over a 4.2 mile course.  Edward Jolliffe added to his first round effort with another superb run to finish 32nd out of the 317finishers clocking 25mins 36secs.  He was second placed under 19 athlete.  Emily Benfield was 290th clocking 42mins 20secs, which was a 14 position improvement on round 1.  Orla Welby was having her first run in this year’s Motavation...

Oxon and Bucks Midweek Open – Horspath (25th May)

Three Bicester AC athletes made the journey to Horspath for last Wednesday’s Oxon and Bucks Midweek Open Track and Field Meeting.  Django La Porter finished a good 4th in his heat of the 100m with a new personal best clocking of 12.62secs which was 16 hundreds of a second inside his previous best. Youth Development League – Nuneaton (21st May)

Bicester AC’s athletes put up a sterling effort in their 2nd round UK Development Midland Division North and East C match held last Saturday in Nuneaton.   Nine Bicester athletes made the trip covering the full programme of track and field events in the boy and girl under 13 and 15 age groups.   In the event they amassed an impressive 160 point haul to place 4th out of the 6 competing teams.  During the afternoon an impressive 18 personal bests were set by Bicester...

Oxon & Bucks County Championships – Horspath (14th & 15th May)

There was a good turnout of Bicester AC athletes for last weekend’s Oxfordshire Track and Field Championships held at Horspath, which were combined with neighbouring county Buckinghamshire.  Bicester won five Oxfordshire County gold medals, three of which were won by the Rayson brothers, as well as striking gold in the Bucks Championships.
