Five Bicester AC runners took part in the Alchester 5k run road race last Wednesday.  The team was headed home by Edward Jolliffe, who was having his first run for Bicester a while, and ran a strong race for 17th place in the 227 strong field with one of his best ever 5k clockings of 16mins 45secs.  Jolliffe’s sister Anna was in personal best form as she ducked under the 19 minutes barrier (18mins 41secs) for 47th and was 6th lady finisher out of the 93 women taking part.  Another Bicester athlete in personal best form was Amy Gould, who built on her good run at the recent Waddeston 5km to lower her 5km best still further to finish 74th and 11th lady finisher with 20mins 11secs.  Emily Benfield and Joshua Bradley, closely matched at the most recent Motavation event, were separated by two places on this occasion.  As with the Motavation event, Benfield got the verdict in 203rd clocking 29mins 04secs with Bradley 205th in 29mins 17secs.
