Finley Colverson-Martin has been very active in the opening weeks of the new track season.  He finished an excellent 2nd in his heat of the 3,000 metres in the recent Wycombe Invitational open meeting.  Colverson-Martin’s time represented an improvement of nearly 14secs on his previous best and is a national grade 4 under 17 time.  Bicester’s Anna Jolliffe finished 2nd in her 3,000 metre heat in 11mins 10.8secs.

Colverson-Martin achieved another national grade 4 clocking in the recently held Windsor, Slough, Eton and Hounslow AC Spring Open Graded /meeting held at Eton.  Debuting in the 1500 metre steeplechase, Colverson-Martin was 3rd, just one tenth of a second behind the second placed runner, clocking 4mins 56.53secs.

Colverson-Martin also had time to fit in a road event.  Competing in the Southern U17 5k championships held recently in Milton Keynes, Colverson Martin finished 4th out of the 18 finishers in the under 17 men’s race, which included runners from around the South of England.  Covlerson-Martin clocked a useful looking 16mins 10secs over the measured 4.987km course.
