Four Bicester AC athletes made the journey to Hertfordshire for last Saturday’s ATW cross country races held at Northwood.

The races were competitively contested with 47 finishers in the under 15 girl’s race run over 4km.  Ever improving Anna Jolliffe, who was in fine form in the truncated track and field season, produced another big leap forward to finish runner up in 15 mins 58 secs, just 17seconds down on winner Rachel Clutterbuck, who was 4th  ranked under 15 British runner over 3,000 metres last Summer.  Jolliffe separated two very good Windsor runners, both of whom have placed highly in national cross country championship races.  Jenny Critchley, who was in personal best form in the Summer, enjoyed a good work out on Saturday with 17th place and a 17mins 20secs clocking.

Anna’s brother, Edward, competed in the under 17 men’s race and he finished a strong 9th out of the 30 finishers clocking 19mins 02secs for the 5k course.

Finley Colverson-Martin, in only his 4th competitive run in club colours, ran a race rich in promise to finish 11th (15mins 20secs) out of the 46 finishers in the under 15 boy’s 4km race.
