A small but select band of Bicester AC athletes contested Oxfordshire County School’s Championships held on Sunday 14th June in Abingdon.  Molly Acton continued her fine form this summer with a magnificent victory in a competitive under 15 girl’s 800 metres clocking 2mins 35.7secs.  Jess Cherry struck gold twice in the under 20 girl’s triple jump (9.71m) and Shot putt (10.39m).  Her latter effort was a new personal best and propelled her to 32nd in the under 20 national rankings for the shot.

Holly Griffiths- brown struck silver twice taking 2nd place in the under 15 girl’s long jump with a personal best effort of 4.72m and in the 200 metres where she clocked 27.8secs.  Ben West ran very well for 3rd place in the under 15 boy’s 1500 metres clocking a new personal best time of 4mins 44.2secs.  And there were also third places for Yolanda Martin who leapt to a season’s best of 4.72m in the under 17 girls’s long jump and Rushani Arumugham who posted a new personal best mark of 4.02m in the under 13 girl’s event.
