Bicester Athletic Club Annual General Meeting

Thursday 17th November 2022 at 7.00pm

Venue – The Community Room, Tesco, Lake View Drive

We need your support – please come and ensure the continuing success of our club.

Volunteers who can help on the Committee would be much appreciated but by coming along to the AGM you are not committing yourself to anything – only supporting the club. Those who can offer just a little time could consider becoming a general committee member. Any help, no matter how small, would be very much appreciated.

Items for the agenda should be forwarded in writing/email to Clare Wetton (Secretary) at least 7 days before the AGM (by 10th November 2021).  Only business that is on the agenda and of which members have been notified will be discussed at the AGM, as detailed in the club constitution.  The meeting agenda will be posted on the club website and emailed out.  A parent/guardian accompanying a junior member (under 16 years) to the AGM may vote on their behalf.

Please send nominations for committee posts to Clare Wetton (Secretary) as soon as possible.  For information, the current committee is as follows:

Currently all our club roles are filled by unpaid volunteers, if we fail to get additional volunteers for the Safeguarding Role, we will have to look to employ someone external, this will result in an increase of membership fees to cover the cost. This could be £50 (or more) per member on top of the current fee. It is an England Athletics requirement that we have at least 2 safeguard officers.

If we do not get a replacement kit manager, we will not be able to sell kit to our members, if our members haven’t got a club vest, they will not be able to compete as club vests must be worn in competition.

To ensure that Bicester AC continues to provide athletics coaching and competition for the youngsters of Bicester and the surrounding area it is vital we fill all roles. Club Roles can be shared to lighten the load.

We hope you are able to support the club going forward and look forward to seeing you on Thursday 17th November at the Tesco Community Room.
