Finley Colverson-Martin recorded an historic win in the recent CPM Thame 10km road race.  Colverson-Martin became the first Bicester AC winner of a ‘blue riband’ Oxfordshire Road race winner this century.  This was a ‘landmark’ achievement given that Bicester is principally a junior athletics club and road races are ostensibly contested by senior age groups and above.  Indeed Colverson-Martin was the only under 17 in the 552 strong and he was only the runner to break 34mins winning with a chip time of 33mins 38secs, some 23secs clear of his nearest pursuer.  His time places him in the top ten (7th) of the run Britain 10km national rankings for under 17 male athletes.
