Three Bicester AC athletes represented their county schools team at last Saturday’s National School’s Cross Country Championships held in Woolaton Park, Nottingham. All three made the scoring Oxfordshire scoring team in their respective races.
Anna Jolliffe ran superbly in the senior girl’s race over an approximate 4km course. Jolliffe finished comfortably in to the top half of finishers in 132nd and was the 2nd scoring team member out of the scoring 6 clocking 18mins 48secs with the Oxfordshire team placing 24th.
William Morris earned a county schools vest in the junior boy’s event and did well to make the top 200 finishing 192nd out of the 329 finishers. Morris was 4th scorer in the scoring Oxfordshire team of 6 with the team finishing 30th. He clocked 16mins 12secs for the approximate 4km course.
Owen stocker contested the intermediate boy’s race over an approximate 5km circuit. Stocker did well to make the Oxfordshire scorers as 6th scorer finishing 233rd out of 327 finishers with a time of 19mins 23secs. The Oxfordshire team finished 24th.
