Bicester AC’s Amber Parker helped herself to three personal bests in three different disciplines as she competed in two different events last weekend.  On Saturday in the inter county championships she launched the hammer out to a national grade 3 mark of 32.64m, breaking her own under 15 girl’s discuss club record distance.

Parker then travelled to Woking on Sunday for the Woking AC Open meeting.  She produced two excellent efforts in the discus and the shot breaking previous club records in both disciplines.  In the discus she broke Megan Davies’s record, which had since 2009, throwing a national grade 1 mark of 28.77m.  This moved her to 22nd in the under 15 girl national rankings for the discus.  She also produced a new personal best in the shot with a national grade 2 putt of 9.92m, which also broke her own previous club record.
