Two Bicester AC’s athletes were in action at this week’s open meetings. Jenny Critchley smashed a long – standing club record which had stood since 2005. Running at Tuesday’s Kettering Open, Critchley placed 5th in her heat of the 800 metres but her time of 2mins 20.23secs was a 5 second advancement on her previous best and well inside the under 17 ladies club record for 800 metres. Critchley’s time was also a national grade 3 effort based on the 2019/2020 national standards.
Freddie Taylor set a new personal best for 1500 metres at Thursday’s Harrow open meeting. Taylor placed 6th in his heat clocking 4mins 47.85 secs
