Bicester AC’s Jack Green competed in three events in last Sunday’s Milton Keynes Open track and field meeting and enjoyed a very successful competition.  Pride of place was Green’s performance in under 11 boy’s metres 600 metres where he enjoyed a tremendous scrap with local runner Eddie Hartigan.  The two of them pulled clear of the field of 14 runners with Green getting the verdict by one tenth of a second.  Green’s time of 1min 56.3secs was the 5 seconds inside of his previous best, which had been set recently at the Radley open, and was just 2 seconds outside of the existing club record which has stood for over 20 years.

Green also set another personal best in the Long Jump leaping to 2nd place in the 13 strong field with 3.36m which was 27cm in advance of his previous best.  Green was also 4th fastest in the 75m clocking 12.2secs.
