Bicester AC were down on numbers for race 2 of the Kidlington Running Club’s Motavation Road Running Series which was held in Oxford at a venue that used to host the final race of the series until recently.

This fast flat course attracted 423 runners and again the competition was intense.  Owen Stocker improved on his position achieved in race 1 finishing in 20th place and clocking 22mins 11secs for the approximate 4 mile course.  In terms of positions this was Stocker’s second best ever Motavation race.  He was also 2nd in the under 19 men’s competition leaving him well placed in the under 19 standings after two events.

Anna Jolliffe was not quite able to match her race 1 performance where she was first leading female finisher but she still ran well for 21st place clocking 25mins 05secs which was the 5th best female time and less than a minute behind the first lady finisher. She was again the leading under 19 woman finisher and leads the under 19 woman standings after two races.

Emily Benfield continues to show an improved level of form on the roads and she finished in 349th place clocking 36mins 39secs.  Joshua Bradley was having only his second ever competitive outing for Bicester AC and he placed 373rd with 38mins 50secs.  And Leanne Stocker had her first Bicester AC outing of the Summer and finishing in 392nd clocking 40mins 38secs.
