The final round of the Motavation Road Race Series took place recently at Stratfield Brake. 382 runners toed the starting line on what is a predominantly grass terrain course over an approximate 3.9miles course. The race included 7 Bicester AC athletes amongst the starting line up.
Tom Court has been running well in what his first season in the Motavation race series and he again ran well to lead the Bicester contingent home in 29th (22mins 46secs). He was also 5th finisher in the under 19 men’s category. Finn Kerr and Anna Jolliffe could not be separated on time but Kerr got the verdict finishing 68th in 24mins 46secs and Anna Jolliffe 69th. Jolliffe was 6th lady finisher out of the 150 lady finishers that competed. Max Finnegan made the top half of finishers placing 152nd clocking 28mins 32secs. Robert Parsons has competed in all 5 rounds in his first season in the Motavation series and ran well for 250th (32mins 35secs). Emily Benfield improved on last year’s time finishing 322nd in 36mins 22secs. And Emelie Stocker, in her first season of Motavation running, completed her 4th qualifying run in 347th (38mins 47secs) to make the final series standings.
