Bicester AC had 6 athletes at last Wednesday’s Oxford City AC open meeting and five were rewarded with new personal best times.  Three competed in various heats of the 1500 metres and two were making their debuts.  Hugo Jinks was Bicester’s best male athlete on the cross country last winter and he gained some valuable experience in the 1500 metres with a creditable 4mins 38.90secs in his first attempt at the distance.  Jamie Conway was also making his debut at the distance and ran well for a  4mins 54.8 secs clocking.  Jennifer Critchley having her first try at the 1500 metre distance this season knocked over 10 seconds off her previous best clocking 5mins 34.82secs.

Hollie Offord has been making good progress in the sprints this season and she won her heat of the 100 metres in an impressive new personal best time of 14.43secs.  Erin Fabri just missed on beating her previous best in the 200 metres clocking 29.26secs.  Isla Bohannon ran her first 800 metres for some time and just managed to duck under her previous best with a 2mins 57.37secs clocking.
