Bicester AC’s Cyrus Ariana ran a new 300m best in the recent Oxford Midweek open track and field meeting. Ariana finished runner up in heat 1 beating 5 other runners in the same process. His time of 38.94 secs was nearly a second faster than his previous best and is an under 15 boy’s EA PB level 8 time. There were also new bests for Bicester AC competitors in the women’s 300m. Grace Jarvey ran a new best of 46.75secs in finishing 5th in heat 2 of the 300m. And Yasmine Sheppard finished 3rd in heat 3, also with a new best, in clocking 47.06secs.
Georgia Bower produced an under 17 woman’s EA PB level 5 leap of 4.76m finishing 5th out of the 14 competitors with Brendan Kelly jumping 3.14m, which was not far short of his best. Bower also contested heat 3 of the early runs of 100m where she was 8th clocking 13.46secs. George Hart won his heat of the 800m and in the process ran a new best of 2mins 15.38secs. And Oliver Jarvey, who has produced a consistent series of clockings in the 100m this season, ran an under 13 boy’s EA level 5 time of 14.09secs for 7th place in heat 3 of the later series of 100m races.
