Bicester AC’s athletes had a successful day at last weekend’s Oxford City AC Quad competition held at Horspath.  And once again Jack Green was celebrating in the under 11 boy’s competition with overall victory.  As with his previous wins this season, Green improved on previous bests with improvements in the howler throw and 75 metres.  In fact his howler of 39.21m was not only the longest throw of the day but was just a smidgeon short of the club record.  Green was also 3rd fastest in the 600 metres (2mins 2.88 secs) and 5th fastest in the 75 metres (11.75secs).

Clubmate Joel Hodges ran the fastest time of the day in the 75 metres with a superb new personal best of 11.20secs.  Hodges also placed well in his other events which earned him 7th place, whilst Lewis Harris was 17th, which included a decent clocking of 2mins 12.06secs in the 600 metres.

Bicester had two girls in the under 11 event with Annie-Rose Willis highest placed for the club in 11th.  This included a new personal best of 2.75m in the Long Jump.  And Charlotte Hornby recorded two new personal bests in the 75m (13.33secs) and 600m (2mins 27.83secs) finishing overall 17th.  And Bicester also had a competitor in the under 9 girl’s event with Mia Considine recording a promising 5th  place in her first event which included the 3rd best Long Jump (2.90m).
