The South of England Inter County Cross Country Championships took place recently at Horsenden Hill.  Four Bicester AC athletes were selected to represent Oxfordshire.  Competition was fierce across the range of events with the some of the cream of cross country talent in the south competing.  All of the Bicester athletes would have gained valuable experience.

Alexander Collins earned his first ever Oxfordshire vest and given that he is competing in his first cross country season he performed very well in the under 15 boy’s race run over a 4km course.  Collins was 3rd Oxfordshire finisher as he placed 58th clocking 14mins 46secs and comfortably made the top half of finishers.  Bicester’s George Hart contested the under 17 men’s race and he finished 99th with an 18mins 50secs clocking over the 5km course.  Megan Surman contested the under 15 girl’s race which was run over 4km.  Surman finished 104th in 18mins 11secs.  And Charlie Simpson earned his first cross country county vest placing 117th in the under 13 boy’s race run over 3km with a 12mins 23secs clocking.
