Bicester AC’s Leo Blyton gained a second top EA PB level 9 award in the 3000 metres (his first of the season was in the 1500 metres) at the recently contested open meeting held at Watford.  Blyton competed in the middle of the heats which attracted 18 athletes.  Blyton was the youngest competitor and the only under 15 in the line up.  Despite this Blyton finished in an excellent 8th place and his time of 9mins 10.12secs puts him in 6th place in the current national 3,000 metres under 15 boy rankings.  Blyton also broke the Bicester AC club record, which had stood since 2017, running nearly 30 seconds inside the previous mark.
