Bicester had a turnout of 7 for the recently contested upper age group Youth Development League Midland Division 1A match held in Coventry.  A number of the athletes achieved personal best marks.  Although not a personal best, Tia Brown continued her sparkling form in the 100 metres with another win in the under 17 girl’s race with a clocking which was close to her seasonal best.  However her long jump is beginning to come on leaps and bounds.  She took off another sizeable chunk of her previous best in jumping 4.52m good enough for 2nd place.
Joseph Rayner enjoyed his first outing of the season for the club with two personal bests in the under 17 men’s events.  He was most impressive in the triple jump where he finished 2nd with 11.29m which was not far short of a national standard mark.  Although 4th in the Long Jump, Rayner still managed a new personal best leap of 5.32m.
There was a double first for Connor Stark in the under 17 100m hurdles and 1500m steeplechase where he also managed personal best times of 21.91secs and 7mins 32.3s respectively. Tom Gould was also a winner as he took the under 20 men’s 3000 metres with 12mins 30.34s.
Another athlete who was having his first outing of the season was Samuel White who finished 3rd in the under 17 men’s 100 metres (12.64m).  Samuel Worfolk also took 2nd this time in the under 17 men’s 1500 metres (4mins 58.65s).
Keiran Finch was busy in the under 20 men’s events and was rewarded with a new personal best time of 12.41s in the 100 metres.  Finch was also 2nd in the high jump (1.50m) and 3rd in the Long Jump (5.33m).
